Emily got her tonsils out, tubes in and adenoids out last month, and it has been a struggle since to get back into a grove. She stayed sick with her surgery for at least 2 weeks. They somehow nicked part of her tongue off, it has since healed, but I was a pretty upset Mommy for a while. (since they make you sign your life away with surgery, I figured there probably wasn't much I could do). They said the cauterizing tool probably did it, it should heal fine, and it's true, it looks much better every day. She is one of my biggest helpers, so it has been AMAZING to have her back to her old self again. I was beginning to get concerned. She's a tough little girl and some days still says "my throat hurts, but chips will make it feel better." That does work right?

Since then we have moved....long story, but blessed to have a very helpful and understanding group of family and friends. All of us have had a flu bug and upper respiratory stuff. Bill had strep throat. SO much Laundry with that and moving. Adjusting to life. I currently still have a sore throat and cough. Thanks to the two wonderful snow days with my children, a runny nose to go along with it. :) They all have bright red chapped cheeks. Isaiah's are warm to the touch. I will post snow day pics in my next post. So as I stated earlier, we are hopefully getting into a new groove and Loving each other more every day! :)
