My Easter Blessings:

I guess Dad didn't see Isaiah's big hair was in the way of Thomas' face:)
I know I am later than most...but here it is. Our Easter is always filled with business and fun, well most of our holidays are. The kids were out of school Friday and Monday for that weekend.
So Thursday and Sunday, Austin and Samantha stayed over, which was a blast for them, it wore me out! We started with a BBQ Thursday night, followed by egg dying and baths, movie and sleep.
Friday, we attemted to Egg hunt "before"(not really before, more like right in the middle of) a quick wind/thunder/darkened sky/rain storm. That was a definite bust, with a lot of scary and a few small tears for fear of being blown away.
We made Rice Krispie treats, with 6 kids is difficult, they ended up eating a lot of it and I finally had to kick them out for fear I would not get to make any of the beauties.
Little Egg nest.
We then hunted eggs inside for a while.
Thomas was sick, so he's not in a few of the pictures because he was napping.
I then went to a Dr. appt with my friend Sarah. It was fun! I love anything baby, so I'm happy to tag along when my friends are willing to let me! (and I have a sitter). When home, my kids were down getting Easter treats from Grandma got to see a few family members. Then a relaxing night.
Saturday was Isaiah's first soccer game of the season, to which I didn't bring my camera. Neither did I this week, but I have pics of him after his first practice, so I'll post those. He scored 4 goals last week :) and 3 this week. :) He is becoming quite the soccer player. It is so much fun to watch! Angel and Emily are shouting for him, like we do and Thomas loves clapping for him. We have a blast. By the end of this weeks game, he was ready to be done though, he wanted to play on a park. (that's in direct view, 50 ft away from his playing field).
Back to Easter weekend. After soccer off to our friends kids birthday parties. Elijah and Charlie(cousins, Rachel and Dawn's kids) were celebrating their 4th and 1st birthday's together, so we went there and had loads of fun as we always do and stuck around to eat dinner. ;) While we were there, mortifyingly, Angel told an older boy who was outside with them, among other things like "Emily you don't have to listen to him" and "You're not the boss", that "If you tell me what to do again, I'm going to KILL you!" WHAT!!!!!! I am totally embarassed and quite frankly am unsure how to handle this if it comes up again. Not even sure where she heard it from or how she even considered that it would be appropriate to say, oh yeah and she's only 5. (apparently I have no pictures from there to share) :(
Went home and to beds.
Easter morning was busy, didn't make it to church for Sunday School. Stopped by Walmart to get my Secret Sister's gift finishing touches. (I saw you Michelle)
The kids liked their baskets on Easter morning, but weren't overly excited. They had already been eating way too much Easter candy all week from school and other places.
They had an egg hunt at church, with more candy. We talked all the way to Aunt Shirley's about the real reason we celebrate Easter. Isaiah was very intrigued by the conversation, none of the other kids were though. He asks questions like, "Can Grandpa or Gigi come back here with us, like Jesus did?", "What does Jesus look like?", "Can I go to heaven right now and see God?" , " I don't want to die on the cross." He tells me he just loves God, and says really neat prayers, I'm really excited about how well he comprehends all of this.
We went over to Aunt Shirley's like we do every Easter, had a nice dinner, got to see most of the family, accept Keith and Brianne. Keith left on the 30th to go to Basic Training to be in the Air Force. I'm sure Brianne didn't want to make the drive by herself and I can't imagine how much she misses Keith. We all do, but her's is much greater I'm sure. Got to see Becky's Sonogram pictures. Excited for Mya's arrival, hopefully healthy and either before or after Phylicia's wedding, not during!!!!
We had a couple of egg hunts there, and then went to my Grandma's for more food, egg hunts, and Candy.
The kids all got baskets from us, and both grandparents, I think we are set for Candy until Christmas. I'm not certain that dinner was officially made or given on Sunday night because Monday morning they all seemed like ravenous beast who hadn't eaten in days! WE had fun and were wore out. I think it took me all week to recooperate. But Easter was still fun and brings back loads of memories from when I was a kid! So glad to share the true meaning.
HE is RISEN!

Great post Crystal! Glad to catch up on your lives. =) Don't worry, I've heard the words, "I will kill you!" come out of Mackenzie's mouth too. She was joking, but it's mortifying nonetheless. =)I'm sure they pick up those words and more on the playground!
Happy Easter!
