Last weekend we got to have lots of fun, just us 6!

You would think we do a lot of that, but it rarely happens. There is always something going on. Bill works a lot so most of the time I do the fun stuff, almost never do we have an ENTIRE day to have fun together. So I don't have pictures of everything.

Bill surprised the kids and I by taking us to a park he used to LOVE as a kid.

He called it "Penguin Park" I'm not sure exactly where it is, but it's the number 2 park in KC.

The kids LOVED it. They had a huge PENGUIN...Kangaroo, Giraffe, and Elephant. Merry go-rounds, swing sets, slides, and even some "new" spin things.

It was HOT, but we played through the sweat.
We then decided to go to Zona Rosa. It was fun walking around, shopping a bit. We went to Nobles and Barnes and the Kids and I picked out new books. They were amazed with how big it was in there, and of course places to play and read! I love them reading! This week has been more reading than we've had in a long time, sadly, but happy it's back.

We ate at a place called NOODLES! My kind of place! The kids ate well, we loved it, but all of us going out is expensive. We also went to Coldstone Creamery and kids got ice cream too!

Isaiah got a chocolate ice cream cone.

Emily got raspberry and cotton candy mix "Purple and Blue"

Thomas shared with both and Angel didn't want any.... Bill got Key Lime Pie "Key lime heaven" I think it was called.

Of course I got "All Lovin, No Oven" YUMMY! Cake batter ice cream, fudge, whipped cream, cookie dough! I love their cake batter ice cream.

They also had cupcakes with red velvet cake, frosting, a hard shell chocolate cupcake holder, and cake batter ice
cream. I tried it too...AMAZING!

Then we found the fountains and let the kids run around in them (insert big gasp here) with their clothes on!

Other kids had swimsuits, we were not that prepared.

I did have a change of clothes for all once we got back to the van.

The kids had a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them play while holding my husbands hand! We were all pretty tired after that and headed home! It was so fun and the day was almost done! I crashed after we got home and the kids had dinner, a movie and bed shortly after. We were exhausted. But so much fun to spend a day, with just the six of us!

Such a fun post!!! I believe that's the park that Jennifer took our kids to a few times while we were in the U.S. - only Josh and his bro's called it Kangaroo Park. =)
I love Cold Stone's menu titles! All lovin' no oven sounds delicious!Ooh, I'd better stop thinking about it....
We love Penguin Park! Travis' grandma lives a few blocks from there so they "grew up" playing there and we love taking Abigail now. :) It's just a few miles from Worlds of Fun.
