Isaiah and Bills Birthday party

We had a combined small, not so fun birthday party for Bill and Isaiah this year. I know what I need to work on, planning ahead from now on. Its hard everything seems to sneak up on us so quickly. I will have a few posts either today or over the next few days. The birthday went well. Isaiah is now 5!!!!! He was excited from a few days before and a few days after. :) He though also didn't understand how days, and time worked, we worked on having patience.
I stayed up until about 3 or so the night before his party making the cake, actually just frostin the Truck "Mack" cake. He did inform me that he wanted me to use yellow, not white on the wheels and I used white. :( He didn't even eat the cake very well, but he really liked it. He is like Daddy, he liked Daddy's jello cake. :) My grandma made Bill a carrot cake, which he also likes very well. :) He does not however like the traditional cake and ice cream birthday treat. We didn't get Isaiah a ton of gifts this year, not only for finances, but because we have SOOOOO many toys and stuff. We got him a new addition to his train collection and a G I Joe snow truck, with a GI Joe in it. We also signed him up for soccer, got a soccer ball and all the stuff to go with. We are going to go (cough cough sigh) school shopping this weekend. School started today, but I am as above stated, finding planning to be one of my biggest weaknesses. He is excited about all of his presents ,he got several different GI Joes, some clothes, a new Wall-E game for his vtech game consel, Horton hears a who, a train from us, a nerf sword and lego truck, and money :). He seemed to be fairly happy with what he got. On his birthday, I wasn't feeling well so he didn't get his fave meal for dinner, but saturday evening before his party I made a good meal, one of his faves, Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and jelly buttermilk biscuits. He did get lunch of mac and cheese and hot dogs for his birthday lunch. and his fave breakfast, Scrambled eggs with cheese, jelly toast, banana and cucumber. :) I try.
Bill turned 28 this week. Our 7th birthday together :) Nothing grand for him. We celebrated with family with Isaiah and then on his bday he worked. He had tacos for his birthday dinner, nothing special....I did make some new potato wedge things in the oven, simple and delicious and pretty quick too. :) He didn't even eat any leftover cake. He had some of his CherryCourtship Dove Ice cream though :). The kids and I gave him 2 new work jeans and a new shirt. I also asked the kids questions like "Why do you love daddy?" and "What is your favorite thing to do with Daddy?"

Isaiah: I love him for toys and food and I like working on cars with him. (drew pics of Daddys game, tv and a heart) said " I love him with a heart & I like to hold it" (awwww)
Angel: He makes me happy and I like him to play with my kitchen. (drew a heart a kitchen and a high chair)

Emily: He listens to me, he likes food, I love him. He likes hearts like me. (drew circles) :)

Thomas: I love him for putting me to sleep at night and taking care of MOMMY! :) (drew lines)

He also got money and a new game for his ps3. He had a good birthday too.
Emily's birthday is next, actually our Anniversary is 3 days before her birthday, maybe I should get to planning.....
